TO ASCEND, OR NOT TO ASCEND.
DIRECTOR - EDITOR - MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER
TSM: ASCENT followed TSM's Valorant team during their Challengers 2023 run. This series posed a few challenges. First, the entire series was produced remotely due to budget constraints. The team was housed in Austin, and TSM's offices are in Los Angeles. This heavily influenced the gameplay focused style of the series and its aesthetics. The other challenge was the weekly cadence of the show's release. In order to maximize engagement it was important to post ASAP after each match. This necessitated a strict and intense production timeline each week. Due to this schedule, the producer (Brenna White) and I were forced to come up with many creative and time saving solutions to launch on time each week. I can't thank Brenna enough for being there through the all night editing sessions with input, feedback, and dedication.
